Mirchi.com had the honor of curating, packaging and delivering a taste of assorted Indian snacks to diplomats of the United Nations. Our boxes of deliciousness were distributed by Ambassador T.S. Tirumurti, India’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations in New York, in December 2021.
Of all the gifting orders we have worked on, this one was very special to us; we had a great experience putting together the perfect combination of goodies that would showcase the culinary diversity of India and display authentic Indian flavors. All the products we chose were handmade using traditional recipes. We wanted foods that had a long shelf life and flavors that could be appreciated by every pallet. The snacks that made the cut were food specialties such as Jaggery Rewri from Meerut, Nendran Banana Chips from Nagercoil, Bhakerwadi from Pune, Peanut Moringa Chikki from Hyderabad, and Roasted Jowar Mixture from Jaipur.
This project helped us scale new heights in our packaging. We picked an Indian-themed gold food-grade packaging that was custom designed for an international audience. The goodies were packed in gold-embossed gift boxes, showcasing India’s truly diverse culinary tastes. We also went the extra mile by providing a detailed description of each item and included the region of its origin along with the key ingredients used in making them. Needless to say, we could not be happier with the final product.
Adding to our joy, Ambassador Tirumurti wrote to us stating, “Our Permanent Mission has always tried to showcase India, especially the rich variety of food items, delicacies, and indigenous grains. I am delighted that Mirchi.com put together a variety of carefully chosen items from various parts of the country with custom-designed packaging. We have already started receiving appreciation from many diplomats on this culinary package.”
At every step of our journey, we have strived to serve our customers with authentic Indian flavors. Mirchi.com reached a milestone in that journey by being able to share our traditions with the world. We are grateful to Ambassador Tirumurti for this opportunity and his valuable feedback.
