Boutique Foods was born out of the idea of reintroducing millets and other such lost super foods back into Indian households. The first batch of their millet flour was actually made in their home kitchen using a recipe passed on through generations. Once they achieved the perfect phulkas and rotis out of the millet flour, the team got more adventurous! They hit upon the idea of baking their own handmade millet cookies. They sourced the finest quality of white butter and the best millets. The challenge was to bake without using any artificial preservatives and additives, and yet be able to maintain taste and a reasonable shelf life. A lot of baking, tasting and sampling later they finally got... it right. Their harshest critics, kids, loved the cookies!
Boutique Foods now has seven yummy flavours to suit a variety of tastes; however the basics behind the recipe remain the same – High quality millets, no preservatives, no artificial additives, only the best white butter and handmade with love!
