Sohan Halwa is a popular sweet in India, sold at almost every sweet shop. Sohan Halwa is made from a mixture of water, sugar, cornflour and milk that is boiled till the mixture is solid. Traditionally, ghee is used to ensure that the Sohan Halwa does not stick to the pan in the preparation stage. A liberal dose of dry fruits are added to the Sohan Halwa to give it that nutty taste. Sohan Halwa is sold as small round flat discs or broken into small pieces.
